God answers prayer. He asks us to take any concerns to Him in prayer and He will act upon it according to His will. As we deal with difficulties we are to cast our cares on Him and receive from Him a peace that defies the circumstances. The basis for our hope and faith is the character of God Himself.

+ I am an officer in SC and for several years now have struggled with depression.  I find it terribly hard to ask for help because i don't want anybody to know.  I have been to the point of giving up more times than I can count now.  Thank you for any prayers for me. (November 11, 2015)

+ August 2015 was one of two months this year with 14 total line of duty deaths (LODDs), the second highest monthly toll in 2015. Six of those deaths occurred in the last week of the month. Of the August LODDs, six were the result of felonious gunfire, two resulted from fatal heart attacks, and the remaining six were vehicular -- either motorcycle, aircraft, or automobile related. These six vehicular deaths bring the total in 2015 to 35 Line of Duty Deaths in that category -- the leading cause of death this year, and up 10% over this time in 2014. Each of the officers who lost their lives in August 2015 is to be remembered for their sacrifice and honored for their service. The Officer Down Memorial Page extends our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and agencies who lost loved ones in August 2015. Please take a moment to read their memorials AND PRAY for their families, You can find their information here: http://blog.odmp.org/2015/09/officer-down-memorial-page-end-of-watch.html (National Adopt-a-Cop - September 3, 2015)
